I got hold of my first jigsaw puzzle when i was 10 years old. A gift from my aunt. 'Twas a 500 pieces puzzle. One would expect it to be a colorful picture of disney characters or a page from a superhero comic book; but no, it was a picture of a beautiful villa in france located on top of a mountain overlooking a small town surrounded by mountains. I loved it. In fact, i enjoyed putting it together so much that i finished reconstructing the whole thing in just 2 days using only the spare time that i have after school. My aunt was so impressed that she sent me another box two months later. It was a 1000 pieces puzzle of Chateau de Chambord. One of the great castes in Europe. I finished reconstructing the whole thing in 4 days. Though i enjoyed reconstructing jigsaw puzzles, i didn't get to be addicted to it. Life is a huge jigsaw puzzle for me. Insanity would get the best of me if i'd dare count the number of pieces life's puzzle has. Art, Science, History, New Technology, Music, Sports, Gaming, Literature, and the Unknown. These are the major pieces of Life's puzzle that i am interested on and this is what my site is all about.

A not-so-close encounter with the unknown

June 11, 2007

Do you believe in the paranormal?

Have you seen a ghost?

Felt it perhaps?

The ever-so-famous White Lady?

I have… once.

This is a true story and it happened to me 6 months ago.

I am a believer of the unknown. I love to get my hands on the key to unlocking the secrets of the universe and take a stroll on strange highways from time to time. Stories of ghosts, unexplainable circumstances, humongous men smoking weed on trees is not new to me. I believe some, others i ignore.

We were on our way to a friends house that night. I brought my car and i had three passengers with me. I was doing 50 on the highway going out of the city even though there were no other vehicles in sight. I was enjoying the sight of houses and fields along the way revealed to us by the light of the full moon on a cloudless sky. The two passengers behind me were busy talking and laughing while the other passenger beside me was talking a short nap.

A friend on Global Youth Awards needs your support

Just this May, I was sent by Hercor College in Manila to attend a workshop on 3D Modeling and 3D animation. In my 3D animation class (which consisted of 4 students including me), one of my classmates is McAllen Reonel Sebastian A.K.A. Mars. The first time I saw him, my first impression of him was "This dude is way too serious for his age!". Little did I know that i was too close to the truth on my impression of him! Huh? Let me explain that by giving you a short background of Mars…

                                                                                  —————————-

Christened as Mc Allen Reonel Sebastian Sales Cacacho, Mars (his acronym nickname), started doing scientific researches at fifth grade. His Biothermosensor, a gadget that could measure temperature at the tip of the fingers, made him the Most Excellent among the Ten Outstanding Young Scientists (TOYS) at the age of 12.

MEDIARESCUE PRO

Description:  Trial Version or you can buy a licensed one on their site

Digital MediaRescue Professional recovers lost data from a whole host of multimedia devices - from digital cameras, audio recorders, MP3 & WMA players to PDAs and mobile phones. The program supports Hard Drives, CompactFlash cards (type I/II), IBM Microdrives, SmartMedia cards, MultiMedia cards (MMCs), Secure Digital (SD) cards, Memory Sticks and any other storage devices, with the addition of wide-range file format support: JPEG, AVI, MOV, MP3, WMA, WAV, etc.

As you know, modern Digital Still Cameras and other digital devices allow files to be erased and the space on the media reused. So sometimes your information gets erased or crippled, either by physical damage to the medium (e.g. flash card crash), or because someone clicked the wrong button on your recorder. Through momentary carelessness, valuable data can be lost in an instant. The media can also be bulk-erased or formatted, removing everything from the storage media. Of course you don't want to lose your valuable files such as important photos or favourite audio and video recordings. And there it is, our MediaRescue Pro is here to easily, quickly and absolutely reliably reconstruct the missing multimedia files.

Ma First Blog post

Christmas Spirit, A Rappelz Experience

— This is the first post on my first blog in the web. I made this last December. I'm just reposting it here. —-

eight hours a day, 3 days straight… enclosed in a room with one door and a window, armed with nothing but a machine running on a 2.0 gig processor, 64mb video card, 512 memory and an internet connection with a speed of 350mbps. Pathetic. I am one with the machine.  (WhatTheFuck! that sounds  geeky… ewww. buswah! )

I care not of the world outside my room. just me and my machine. A sound or two would pass through the thin space between the ground and my door –  the sound of children running… our dog squeegy barking… a baby crying… and nothing more.
Computer on. Openning the game RAPPELZ. The screen goes black, so does the world around me. Nothing but the screen… just the screen…  (geeky… just geeky)
A trumpet was sounded. Drums followed. Hundreds of men shouting! Swords clashing! The sound of an Epic battle filled my room. This is my world. my gaming world.

Lineage 2 is finally here!

After almost a year of courtship, South Korean game development giant NCsoft and Philippine publisher Asian Media Development Group have closed a $5.5-M deal to distribute Lineage II not just in the Philippines, but across Southeast Asia.

The exclusive $5.5-million marketing and distribution deal with the South Korean company marks the first time that NCsoft has signed a non-subsidiary to distribute its game. It will also be the first time for AMDG to expand its operations outside the Philippines.

In an interview with hackenslash, AMDG chief operating officer Ronald Allan Aquino said that under the partnership, all NCsoft products, primarily Lineage II, would be solely distributed in the region, which will start in the Philippines, followed by Singapore and Malaysia.

“While we will distribute Lineage II in the Philippines, we’ll be looking for partners who will distribute it in other countries,” Aquino said.

Likewise, Aquino said they are preparing the buildup of their server facilities in the Philippines to host the local Lineage II players.

“We’ll be launching the game in the next half of the year, simultaneously in the Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia,” Aquino said.

Lineage II, including its predecessor Lineage I, is a major success among the massively online game triple-A titles that have come out of South Korea, with an estimated 14 million subscribers globally. It is currently being played in Taiwan, Japan, China, Thailand, and the United States, among others.
